We maintain an impartial and independent commercial position, with unique familiarity with open, interoperable systems that are software vendor-neutral, permitting easy interface with existing enterprise software systems for business processes, Customer Relationship Management, and data stores.

15E GIS Data Capture Services
QinetiQ provides a range of very specific high quality data capture services, which fall outside those normally commercially available.
For example, a QinetiQ subsidiary, QinetiQ Survey and Surveillance Ltd., offers a range of data capture services, principally based around LIDAR technologies. This service performs terrain mapping at resolutions of up to 30 points per square metre, to create 3D digital surface models with an accuracy of ±2.5 cm.
15H Webmap Authoring
QinetiQ exploits Open GIS Consortium (OGC) specifications to provide interoperable web-based services to bring together data from distributed servers. Our expertise in user interface design, portal design and secure hosting allows the effective delivery of geospatial data and geospatial analysis applications over the Internet.
15J Map-Making & Reproduction (to support policy & service delivery)
QinetiQ has the expertise and the GIS map composition software to provide ad-hoc map images from various types and sources of geospatial data. Such map images can be printed in colour on a high quality plotter up to A0 in size. |
