QinetiQ EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Australasia) is focused on providing services to the defence, security and energy and environment markets. Operating in these markets requires our employees to use their capabilities to meet the challenging needs of our changing customer base, particularly as we move into new markets such as Australia, providing further opportunities for growth within the Asia Pacific region.

Our position as a trusted advisor to the MOD provides us with access to every major UK military programme and enables expansion into other maturing defence and security markets. QinetiQ EMEA was reorganised in April 2008 into four offering-focussed businesses: Managed Services, Consulting, Applied Technologies and Integrated Systems.

Managed Services
Providing independent expertise, support and advice to governments, industry and partners across the world.

Consulting
Technical advice provided by high quality consultants with deep technical knowledge and domain experience, supported by processes and tools.

Applied Technologies
Delivering a range of solutions to our customers’ toughest problems through the appropriate application of technology, fuelled by research and often packaged as a product.

Integrated Systems
Supplying integrated systems, sub-systems or technology to meet the specific challenges our customers face with their information, mission or platform solutions.

Defence Training Review
The Defence Training Review (DTR) programme is a nationally important change management programme, the purpose of which is to deliver well trained and effective soldiers, sailors, and airmen to the front line. In so doing, the project is delivering a ‘national good’, in the sense that the young people who will benefit from it will be able to fulfil a valuable role in society both within the Armed Services and later in life.

The project is required to build a platform of ethos, knowledge, and a sense of responsibility which will enable trainees to achieve the standards of growth and personal development required to meet these objectives.

The Metrix consortium brings an unrivalled breadth of understanding, both of operational capability and of MoD's underlying business processes, which will sustain a partnership that guarantees the effectiveness, flexibility and delivery of the programme.

QinetiQ Australia
QinetiQ has acquired three defence consulting companies in Australia - Ball Solutions Group Pty Ltd, AeroStructures and Novare Services Pty Ltd. These acquisitions represent QinetiQ’s first investment in Australia and are in line with our strategy to expand our geographical footprint into defence markets outside the UK and the US.
