Maritime Support Engineer

Location – Canberra, Melbourne, Newcastle and Brisbane (travel between sites may be required)

Qualifications: CEng or IEng status or equivalent qualification would be desirable.

About the position
QinetiQ Consulting Pty Ltd is looking for Engineers with maritime experience to enable it to respond to opportunities published via the Defence Materiel Organisation Support Services (DMOSS) Panel. Key responsibilities of the role include providing engineering support to Maritime systems project, developing capability documents, reviewing technical documentation and conducting or participating in test and evaluation. Previous knowledge of the management of the design and management of maritime equipment and systems is essential as well as a high level of professional knowledge across weapon systems, equipment or technology, acquired either through relevant prior experience, and/or formal training courses. Strong interpersonal skills are necessary as frequent communication with the client will be required.
