Building on over sixty years of research for the Ministry of Defence our work includes research into ship and submarine structures, materials technology, noise and vibration as well as survivability and vulnerability for both the MoD and commercial customers. The site also hosts the shock testing facility which is unique in Europe as the only facility capable of testing to MoD shock standards.
