Weapons, from concept to disposal

Weapons capabilities cover land, sea and air domains from concept generation, system and sub development, platform integration, test and evaluation, though to in-service support and disposal.

Unique to QinetiQ is our coverage of the General Munitions & Ordnance and Complex Weapons domains. Key to underpinning this capability is our breadth of expertise in energetic materials from the formulations of new materials, through to life assessment, life extension and surveillance of weapons.

We have expertise in all current weapon sub-systems including lethal packages, seekers, propulsion systems and ordnance and are supported by the rest of QinetiQ undertaking research into potential future technologies such as autonomy, data links, MEMs and hypersonics.

We have supported the MoD during the procurement of the majority of weapon systems entered into service.
